Composting has really caused me to look at what I'm using and how big potions are that I am making and serving. When the extra food disappears down the garbage disposal, I don't think about it. But when I see the accumulating compost in the can next to my sink… it makes me think and rethink what I am doing.

agree with most of the ten tips. except in part about the homemade cookies. Having just spent the last few days making homemade cookies with my home feom college daughter, we both agree from a financial point of view great bakeries deserve every penny they earn. With the cost of the ingredients, shopping and the labor involved compared to the actual yield, purchasing bakery items is in fact more frugal. However, the time spent together mother and daughter is priceless!
