This Blog, My Articles and Your Rights As Readers Part II

Understand that I am unlike most blog authors out there in that I have an opinion and refuse to be censored. I typically stay out of reader disagreements but when you get inflammatory so as to try to bait others into a rude and heated discussion then I have to cut you off.
It won’t stand here. Everyone has opinions, I only ask that you state that respectfully. 95% of the readers and commenters here are women and it can get pretty catty. That doesn’t fly here with me or with any of my other readers. So if I see you acting in a way that I’ve deemed to be baiting someone else into an argument or just being dumb and disrespectful then I will ban you. I like to think that I run a pretty classy joint, this isn’t Perez Hilton or Huffington Post, so cool your heels. The heels may be on but we wear lace gloves here.
I pay the hosting fees and unless you’re putting in on this, these are the rules. Those of you that know me in real life (and quite a few of you do) know that I can take the heat, however, as the blog author and owner I have to maintain a certain sense of decorum here. Furthermore, it’s not my style to get into it over a post that I’ve written, I believe in what I write and don’t feel the need to justify it to anyone reading. We will talk about incendiary issues but it doesn’t mean we have to be rude and condescending to others here. Again, that doesn’t fly here.
I also realize that it’s election season and many of us have emotions running high. But this isn’t the place. I am more than able and willing to talk politics, find me on Twitter for all of that. Not here.
I will block your IP address and delete your comments once you start to irritate or piss me off.
Say what you want about me and the blog, but once it becomes disrespectful, it will not be entertained nor tolerated here.

Gin, do what you have to do. I saw that other reader coming at you like she lost her everlovin mind. Some people just don’t know when to quit especially when it’s clear the issue is more personal for them than others reading.

I appreciate you making this a lady like environment, too many women come here thinking they have to pull out the claws and force their opinions down our throats.
You really banned her? Good! I didn’t like her tone and she came at Meg and others in a way that wouldn’t make me want to continue talking to her. It was clear the issue of being a working woman an defining it was personal to her.
I am very impressed on the way you handled this situation.

I have been in la-la land because I totally missed something!
As for blog commenters who are nasty, I tend to reply publicly on my blog, but that’s just me. Then they get all up in my face like it’s NOT my right to take ‘em down a notch because they have opinions too.

Good job on the upkeep Ginger! I know sometimes it can be frustrating, I just went with a plug in to get rid of all bad comments. I’m glad they exist cause I still get a few that get through but they get DELETED!
