$130.03 Reasons Why I Love Ebay
Bluefly seems to have finally gotten my attention. Oh how they understand my love for all things cashmere, and boy did I fall for it. I’ve been stalking Bluefly for over a year now, but never gave in until last week while shopping for a new black “carry all” bag. I did find one but then I came across this dress:
But I wasn’t going to pay $205.00 plus tax and shipping for it. I love the dress and yes, it is cashmere, but not that much. So I got into bargain momma mode and googled the name of the dress in quotes and there it was on Ebay. Starting bid $9.99. I put it in with my other watch items and waited.
The final price?
$63.69 plus shipping.
That’s a savings of $130.03 for a dress I have a serious love for right now and it’s not even here yet!
So I know you’re asking, “Ginger, what did you buy from Bluefly…?” Yea, I did a lil damage…
I won’t try to explain it other than it was a total impulse buy. Fall is upon us and I’m trying to class up my wardrobe a bit, you know, stepping away for just a bit from Ann Taylor Loft who I love for everyday wear. But, hey, Im a girl, I love to shop.
Hello Bluefly, you have a new customer.
Question: Have you had any impulse buys lately? Care to share them with the rest of us? This eases my guilt and shoppers remorse which Im sure is coming.

When I was in the mall getting some old clothes tailored to fit my new smaller bod, I popped into Banana Republic knowing full well there was a 40% off sale, and even more that I really had no money budgeted toward new clothes this month. However, I tried on a few pairs of pants and found a beautiful pair of neutral beige trousers that originally retailed for $130. I got them for $54. I feel super excited that I bought my first pair of Banana Republic pants in a size I never thought I could, and it was like a reward to myself for reaching goal weight. Though my bank account may hurt a little, it’s helped my ego tremendously!
I like the black bag? Who makes it / how much on Bluefly?

Laura-
It was $177 on Bluefly and it is the Hype Vigo Tote in Black. I had a $30 coupon plus free shipping via a code I found online. I think AFF20 still works for $20 off.
Ha! Having just checked out the Bluefly site, I can’t tell you how pleased I am (well, how pleased my bank account is) that they don’t ship to the UK. I am head over heels in love with that grey dress and its yummy puffy sleeves!

Ebay is still okay for buyers, but they’re demonic to sellers – check out the new ‘reductions’ in listing fees. (Cue very wry, bitter laughter). I’m in the process of moving to Ebid.net: an initial $49 Sellerplus registration, then free listing with no FVF for life. Sales are slow so far despite tons of views, but with an offer like that I’m giving ‘em a fair try and hammering away with the listings. (My hands are tired from typing descriptions and clicky-clicking at the digital camera).

BTW I keep trying to add a suggestion for GJWHF via Skribit but it ain’t having it. Is it Skribit or a GJWHF problem? (Sorry to go off-topic).
