Whole Foods is actually cheaper than both Kroger and Publix (our primary grocery stores in our area) on many items. For example, one cereal that my husband likes is less than $3 at Whole Foods, but over $4 at the other stores. I have found that more often than not when shopping the healthier choices. Also, the Whole Foods store brand is excellent and has fantastic choices. My son has milk/egg allergies and their store brand organic soy milk is at least $1 cheaper per box than the other brands. I also buy it buy the case and get a 10% discount. There are definately ways to save there and you'd probably be suprised on the price comparisons if you really compared. So many peolpe just assume it's more expensive.

Shopping at Whole Foods is a five-senses experience. But it'll cost you. Thanks for the great savings tips!

Do you have a Vitamin Cottage grocery? Or food coop? We have both and they cost much less. The selection isn't as grand, but it's a where we buy all of our organic staples.

Kudos to you for saying "No Way!" to all those carcinogenic pesticides!

I've been avoiding "Whole Paycheck" because I thought it was too expensive. I buy organic from my grocery store when I can, but not all of the time. Some of the produce prices shown in the pictures looked pretty good. I will definitely try to look for the yellow sale flyers. Thanks for this post!
